Quick post just to get some content onto the site:

First off, I have moved the site to a dedicated server, meaning the Trackmania Forever server is back up, along with most of the old stats and tracks. I have some financial stability this time, so it should be up for at least 2 months.

Don’t remember the server? Here’s a quick tidbit of info to get you up to speed about what the server is about. Don’t know what Trackmania Nations Forever is? Check it out, I promise it’s fun. Just remember to get the free game (which can still play online and on my server). Get it and come visit me sometime.

Secondly, Speed Demos Archive (a site listing speedruns for about 600 games I believe) recently held a 6-day, non-stop, speedrunning marathon called Awesome Games Done Quick to raise money towards the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

Their ambitious goal was $50k. It got SMASHED, raising a staggering $149k during that time. And who said gamers were doing nothing their whole lives? (Check them out on the PCF supporters page here)

Replays of the runs from the marathon will be uploaded and archiving for your viewing pleasure in the near future, along with clips of “bloopers” and “highlights” from the event, so bookmark that site and check it daily for fun times.

Lastly, Michael (Siglemic) Sigler set a new world record for speedrunning Super Mario 64 120-star with a 1:47:10, a 39 second improvement on the previous record. You can check that out below.
